Novo álbum do quarteto Sväng

Vale a pena: http://www.myspace.com/svangharmonica.

Abaixo o e-mail anunciando o CD novo, Jarruta:

Winter news from Sväng: Jarruta album is released

"Jarruta" means something like "Hit the brakes".

Although Sväng seems to accelerate at steady pace, we have a common vision to counter the hectic lifestyle in and around us. Unless we can slow down and stop for a while, we cannot appreciate the delicate nuances of life.

We managed to find an ancient manifest by Mr. Pietari Rautanen "How to live a good life" dated a.d. 1796, which quite coincidently describes our vision:

Thesis 1. Thou shall eliminate all alarm clocks in thy household
Thesis 2. Thou shall not leave for work before the rush hour is over
Thesis 3. Thou shall spend thy lunch hour with thy friends and eat a healthy three course meal
Thesis 4. Thou shall rest or sleep 15 to 30 minutes after lunch
Thesis 5. Thou shall leave from work before the rush hour
Thesis 6. Thou shall entertain thy friends over a nice three or four course meal at least once a month
Thesis 7. Thou shall eliminate the TV set from thy household and obtain a library card instead
Thesis 8. Thou shall sooth thy ears and thy mind with nice music unknown to thee before

Anyway, let’s steam on to upcoming events;

Next weekend we will be in Salzburg, Vienna and Berlin. Our calendar is filling up nicely this year and it looks like we get to taste new cuisine in Verona, London and Nuremberg. If we are lucky we might even get some smoked reindeer in Lapland during this summer.

In the fall time we’ll do a two week tour in Japan, where Jarruta has already been released. Please consult our real-time calendar at: www.svang.fi/en/keikat.php

We have album release concerts in Finland together with Riikka Timonen (www.riikkamusic.com) as follows:

Turku, Turun Klubi, Sunday March 2.
Tampere, Restaurant Laterna, Tuesday March 4.
Helsinki, Restaurant Bossa, Wednesday March 5.

  1. By the way. Sväng is proud to announce the appearance in Ollinkan Festival 2008 in Mexico City in May 15, 16, 17 2008.

Hopefully someone will be kind enough to translate this to spanish.

  2. Hi, Pasi, thanks for the heads up.
Pity that Mexico is still a bit far away from most of our readers, certainly people wish Sväng to play in Brazil soon.

    Cheers from Canada,

  3. Hi Fernando.
And I am sorry that I could not tell the difference between portugese and spanish.
However, we would certainly like to visit Brazil. Although we have posed an embargo against usa, we like South America already.

Hope to see you again some time, perhaps in Berlin?
